I haven’t listened to all of these yet, so maybe I am jumping the gun by posting this here… but I like the idea of interview shows and the little I have listened to sounds good. It isn’t language specific, but there is more to language learning than pinyin! Cultural competence is so important.

I had been mulling over this one for a bit, but it just seems like a good idea. We’ll see. But as I was mostly the only one posting on the forum anyway, it seems like a blog is a better way to communicate and share and even teach. Not sure if much of those will actually happen here, but it’s the thought that counts. And this way, I’m hoping I will need to monitor less and communicate more. So, here is to blogging about updates to this site and learning Chinese in general. You are welcome to comment along the way!

What about karioki music to learn characters.

I use to go to karioki bars in China and i found that I would recongise some characters because they were repeated many times in the song. I would then get the meaning of the character from my Chinese friends. This might be a good method to practice character reading.
